John and I were married June 12, 1976. We had two beautiful children. He accepted my three children I had before. Even though we separated and divorced, we visited and shared jokes and laughs. I shall treasure the memories of the good times we shared. - Posted by: Carol Monkman LeClair (ex-wife) on: May 31, 2012

I few yrs back I called him up & wanted to visit with him. On the Good Friday morning, it was a wonderful day. It was just the 2 of us & we had a very nice talk & I broke down. He always called me his girl, even though I was not his biological child, I knew he meant it when I heard him call me that. My heart is with my brother & sister for the loss of their dad but I pray that they take comfort in knowing their dad is no longer suffering & he will forever live on through them & in all our memories <3 - Posted by: Alissa Matheson-Maytwayashing (step-daughter) on: May 30, 2012

I remember my cousin as well respected man. He lived in Lake Manitoba most of his life. It was sudden to hear about his passing. Shobby endured some illnesses and strived to accept them. I will miss him and remember the days back when he was a young man. - Posted by: Russell Maytwayashing (Cousin) on: May 30, 2012
