I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet and work with Grant. He was a thoughtful and sincere individual who was always prepared to listen to the opinion of others. He was a true professional with a great sense of humor. He was very proud of his family and always spoke very highly of them. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Steve Geiger ((Retired Parole Officer,Winnipeg)) on: Jun 14, 2012

Grant filled up the whole room no matter which one he appeared in. The first thing that arrived was that big, lovely smile that he was so willing to share with everyone. He was soft spoken and seldom wasted words - they came out natural and wise in their simplicity. He was excellent with offenders and always tried to support a plan that had a chance of working. He spoke highly of his family and I can't imagine him leaving anyone but family, and friends behind. A great loss for all and my sincere sympathies to the family. - Posted by: Kathi Ross (Wpg co-worker) on: Jun 11, 2012

I first met Grant when he was the Area Manager of Parole in Thompson, Manitoba. He invited me up there for a one day conference and I learned how to appreciate his wit, humour and dedication to his job. He had a wonderful way with people and especially aboriginals. Over the years before I retired we had a number of very pleasant conversations. He was very proud of his roots and of course his family. He will be missed dearly. My thoughts are with you. - Posted by: Russ Muth (Retired Parole Officer, Winnipeg Office) on: Jun 06, 2012
