Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLIFFORD EDWIN GUTTORMSON October 7, 1932 - June 8, 2012 Clifford was born at Libau (Poplar Park). He was educated at Sheffield School for grades one to ten and came to Poplar Point to stay with his sister Helga and family to take grade 11. He taught school on a permit at Beaver, Manitoba. In 1953, he came to Winnipeg and worked at CP Telecommunications. A few years later he worked at C.N.C.P. Microwave System. He was married in First Lutheran Church on June 1, 1957, later worshipping at Grace Lutheran Church. Clifford belonged to the Junior Chamber of Commerce and was an avid curler and golfer. He was predeceased by his parents Frieda and Einar Guttormson; brothers Fred, Hinrik and Sam; sisters Birgitta, Asdis, and Bertie. He is survived by Edna, his wife of 55 years; son Ian (Winnipeg); daughter Ingrid (Mike) Tocher (Winnipeg); grandsons Jacques and Henrik; brother Jonas; sisters Helga and Eileen. The service for Clifford will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue, on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Donations can be made to either the Grace Lutheran Church or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
