TED K. OLSON On Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Betel Home, Gimli, Ted. K. Olson passed away. Ted is survived by his wife Alison, many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and the United States. He was predeceased by his parents, Margret and Paul Olson; six sisters and three brothers. Ted and Alison resided at 61 First Avenue until the onset of his illness in June, 2007. Ted attended school in Gimli and then served in the army during the Second World War. On return from the service, Ted joined his father Paul, brothers Paul and Roy in the fishing industry on Lake Winnipeg. Ted was a lucky person in that he enjoyed every day of his life as a fisherman. He planned his operation before the season began and always knew where the best set was. Ted has found a safe harbor. His boat is tied up at the dock. We will all miss his stories of the lake. Ted and Alison both loved animals, especially cats, and gave a caring home to many. Donations to the Gimli Humane Society, Box 1999, Gimli, MB R0C 1B0 would be greatly appreciated. A private family interment will take place in the Columbarium at the Gimli Community Cemetery. Goda Nott Elskan Min Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
