  • I have seen a little more of Angele in the last dozen or so years since her return from Toronto. Like her picture she is a sweet, loving, gentle, yet vibrant member of the Labossiere Family. Lately, she has been missed at some of her usual haunts and will continue to be missed now that she has gone to the Glory to be with her many other family and frineds that have gone before her.....their gain, sorrowfully our loss. To her children, brothers, sisters, many other relatives and friends my deepest Sympathy In our prayers, thoughts and cherished memories our loved ones, especially Angele, at this time are always with us. Much love to all, Julia Van De Spiegle - Posted by: Julia Van De Spiegle (Sister of Sister-in-law Ellie) on: Jun 27, 2012

  • I feel as if I have known my 'tante' Angèle for a long time. Not only through my life experiences with her, but through my father's eyes. My Dad and 'mon oncle' Joe were the closest of brothers. Dad had a number of photos of himself, uncle Joe and Angèle during the war years and in 1948, when Dad visited Joe and Angèle in Toronto. When I look at these photos, I see happy people, enjoying each other's company. It always brings a smile to my face. Although I lived in Winnipeg and saw her very infrequently, my first real contact with her was at age 18, when I spent 10 days with her and Joe in their home on Kipling in Etobicoke. At that time, she was heavily into antiques and would do antique shows around Ontario. She would explain the complexities of this hobby and she was thrilled to be able to pursue this. Needless to say, she made me feel very welcome in her home and I truly felt like family. Ma tante Angèle was very close to her own family, mother, brother and sisters, and with time, I met them all and I remember fondly each of them. And like her, they all had a heart of gold. The last time I saw ma tante was at my father's funeral in 1999. I spent time with Joe and Angèle in their home in Southdale. I felt almost as a son as she confided her feelings about my Dad, about life and about her concerns. I appreciated her caring a lot. To my cousins, Raymond and Denise, whom many years have separated us, I offer my deepest sympathies at the loss of your mother. I will remember her with the greatest of fondness, not only for the gifts she left me in my memories, but for the joy she also brought to your father and my Dad. She is now with them in peace and happiness before God. - Posted by: Denis Deschênes (Nephew) on: Jun 26, 2012
