FREDERICK LORNE NEBBS May 15, 1958 - June 30, 2012 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Fred Nebbs on June 30, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Fred was predeceased by his mother Rita (Clark) and father Allen Nebbs. Fred is survived by his wife Debbie (nee Stewart), stepdaughter Meghan George, mother Isabelle Nebbs, brother Tom Nebbs (Tracy), sisters Eleanor Braden (Ward), Karen Giffin (Todd), Sharon Cox (Jim), brothers-in-law Glen and Ward Stewart, several nieces, nephews, one great-niece, several cousins including special cousins Bill and Donna Besant. Fred was born in Neepawa, MB moving to Portage in his teenage years. Going back to Neepawa to work alongside his Uncle Wayne Clark in Clark's Bakery, he later moved to Winnipeg to spend the rest of his life. Wherever Fred went he met many special friends and made lifelong friendships. No matter where he went there was always someone that said, Hey Fred! Some of Fred's fondest memories were from his days at Kerr Lake which will be his final resting place. Fred fought a great fight with cancer. He used his humour, gentle manners right to the end and was very happy to have all his family by his side. As per Fred's wishes there will be no service and if anybody would like they can make a donation to the Cancer Society or do something nice for somebody less fortunate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ron Moffit Memorial Services in Portage.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I am so sorry for your loss. May it help you to know that death was not in God's plan, but Adam sinned so sin and death entered into the world. Yet because of God's love for us and he knowing the pain that death brings to families, he will get rid of death, that is why he says at 1 Corithians 15:26: And as the last enemy death is brought to nothing. I hope these facts bring you and your family some comfort during your difficult days ahead and time of need. - Posted by: Mary Miller (none ) on: Dec 24, 2013
