ROSE MELIA (nee JOHNSON) 1923 - 2012 Rose Melia, nee Johnson, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2012 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 89 years with family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Rick (Donna), Patti Beck (Bob), Dave, Mark (Shaureen) and Grant (Dorina), 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sisters Dot Bindas, Pat Harvey, Evelyn Johnson, Louise Jacobucci, Thelma Graboski, and Shirley Larocque, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Carson in 1987, her parents William and Rose Johnson and her brothers Bill and Andy. In keeping with Rose's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. The family thanks the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for making her last hours comfortable and the staff at Golden Links Lodge for taking such great care of her over the last two years.
