He is survived by his two sons: Kabir Singh Kaler, Kiranpal Singh Kaler, father Bikkar Singh Kaler, mother the late Mohinder Kaur Kaler; siblings (five sisters): Gurcharan Kaur Brar, Surjit Kaur Kang, Balvir Kaur Gill, Harbhajan Kaur Basraon, Jaswinder Kaur Basraon and brother Gurcharan Singh Kaler. Nirmal was the fifth of seven children. He was born in the village of Churchak district Moga, Punjab, India. He along with his parents and four siblings immigrated to Winnipeg in 1980. Immediately upon arrival to Canada he along with his other siblings started working in order to support themselves. Quickly, Nirmal established himself as a hard worker and dedicated family man. He became well known in the Sikh community. After a few years he gained notoriety for his willingness to help people in need, whether it be physically, emotionally or financially. His family takes comfort that Nirmal is resting in peace with his mother in heaven. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
