BEATRIZ FONTES Peacefully on July 17, 2012, Beatriz Fontes, aged 83, passed away at Grace Hospital. Beatriz leaves behind her daughter Elizabete Ferreira, son-in-law Moises Ferreira, grandchildren Carlos and Emily. She also leaves behind brother-in-law Manuel Fontes (Christina), nieces Teresa (Grant), Goret (John) and Manuela. Also the Borba family and many family and friends in the Azores, U.S. and Canada. She was predeceased by husband Jose Fontes. Born in Sao Jorge, Azores, she came to Canada in 1960 with her husband where she first worked with Perth's then Eaton's and Leon's. A sincere thank you to all the staff at Calvary Place, especially on 3rd Floor South. Prayers will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. also in the church.
