PATRICIA ANN PERSOWICH March 12, 1948 - July 22, 2012 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia on July 22, 2012, at the Grace Hospice with her children and family by her side. Patricia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Mark (Robin) Shmigelsky and grandsons Ryder and Kyler of Invermere, BC; Matthew Shmigelsky of Salisbury, England; Michealo Shmigelsky of Phuket, Thailand; and granddaughter Meisha Pearson of Big Lake, MN. She also leaves her siblings, Christina (Alex) Anonychuk, Judy Johnston, John (Joyce) Persowich; Jacqueline (Bob) Lewandiwsky; Gary (Bonnie) Persowich; Irene (Jan) Collins; Edward Persowich and foster brother Stanley (Billie) Dorie and the many nieces and nephews who have been supportive over the years to their Aunt Patricia. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, John and Marion Persowich; brother-in-law James Johnston, and sister-in-law Wendy Persowich. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. She gave herself selflessly to them and others, with the purest kindness anyone can give. Over the past 15 years Patricia was extremely committed and passionate about her work as a home health nurse with children: John, Andrew and Alexandra. She loved her flowers, yoga, cooking, shopping and always had time to entertain her family and friends. Although she traveled extensively to various parts of the world, she always remained humbled by the kindness of people; the simple pleasures in life and love of her family and her roots. Most of all, she gave generously without ever expecting anything in return. She lived to make her loved ones smile and laugh, our laughter was her laughter, our pain was her pain. Although her life was shortened by her brave fight against kidney cancer, she loved and smiled until her last breath and beyond. Everything about her will be sadly missed, cherished and celebrated through love and laughter by all our family and friends - we will never forget our angel Patricia. The family would like to thank and express our gratitude to the many fine health care workers during Patricia's brave battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Winnipeg, MB.
