Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGIA DUFAULT (nee LECUYER) Peacefully, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Georgia passed away at Action Marguerite Personal Care Centre (Taché Centre). She was 83 years old. Georgia was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick Carriere, killed in military service in 1945. Georgia was predeceased by her second husband, Louis Dufault, in 1992. Georgia is survived by her brother, Armand Lecuyer, 82 years, also at Action Marguerite. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her loving children: Roy Carriere, and with her second marriage Maurice (Judy), Joe (Sharon), Dan (Donna), Miles (Barbara), Debora, Louis, Robert (Pat), 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grand-children. Georgia was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother and wife whose family always came first. She was there wherever and whenever needed. Georgia's home was always open and welcoming to family and friends. She was open to sharing a meal or a game of cards anytime. Georgia will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the doctor, nurses and support staff at 5ABC of Action Marguerite for their dedication, kindness and care generously given to Georgia during her stay there. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8 at Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road, followed by interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Action Marguerite (Taché Centre), 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2H 2B3. It will be Three long years, tomorrow, now that I have been missing my Mother, I still cry for her at times when I myself am in pain, she is the one I turn to , to help me get through another day, to bare the pain and keep going, because it's her strength that she had in her own life that I draw from, a strength so strong and a gift she gave to me.
