GURDIAL KAUR SANDHU It is with great sadness that the family of Gurdial Kaur Sandhu announces her passing on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at the age of 96. Maji was born in Batalla, Punjab, India to Late Sardar Amar Singh Bal and Sardarni Attar Kaur. She was married to Late Sardar Lal Singh Sandhu of Village Muchhal, Amritsar and immigrated to Canada in December 1986. Her husband passed away in 1990. She will be remembered by her loving children Harjinder Singh Sandhu, Harbakhash Singh Sandhu (Darshan), Sarbjit Kaur (Nishan Singh Warraich), Surjeet Kaur, Mahinder Kaur and late Kuldeep Kaur. She will also be fondly remembered and missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, along with her many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Victoria General Hospital for all their dedication and support during the last weeks of Maji's life. Akhand Path will be held at the home of Harbakhash Singh Sandhu, 750 Lindenwood Drive W. beginning Friday, August 3, 2012. A funeral service in memory of Gurdial Kaur Sandhu will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with Bhog to follow at Winnipeg South Sikh Centre, 500 Dovercourt St. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
