JAMES JACKSON James Jackson passed away suddenly with his family and special friends Chuck and Eileen by his side on August 1, 2012 at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife June of 53 years and their two children Todd (Heather) of Winnipeg, and Cindy (Greg Rose) of Hamiota. He will be deeply missed by his five grandchildren Ashlee, Jadon, Hannah, Tess and Jaimie. His family, including his stepmother Katherine Jackson, and his sisters Sandra Russell and Arlene Hamill (Bob) will miss his ever present smile and quick humour. He was predeceased by his father James, his mother Ruby (nee Berry) and his brother-in-law Mickey Russell. Jim was born January 2, 1934 in Winnipeg. Dad was an amazing structural steel draftsman and worked at Dominion Bridge for over 40 years. After retirement he loved his days at Delta Beach chopping wood and sitting in his chair on the sand bars. He enjoyed walking with his dog Jake. Jim was always with his family and would do anything for us. He enjoyed watching Todd play hockey and Cindy ride equestrian horses and in recent years, watching his grandchildren's activities ranging from basketball, soccer to singing recitals. We will miss his sense of humour, loud laugh and famous one liners to lift us all up. His gentle soul and kind manner will remain with us until we meet again in God's Heavenly Kingdom. We love you Dad. There will be an interment service at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 9 at Thomson In the Park Cemetery. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road at Lyon. We thank the wonderful emergency staff at the Victoria General Hospital and supporting consultants at Health Sciences Centre Neurosurgery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface and Victoria General Hospitals. THOMSON IN THE PARK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
