MURIEL CLIFTON (nee HALL) April 29, 1926 - August 6, 2012 It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of Muriel Olive Clifton, on August 6, 2012, at her residence, at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Bill; daughter Carol; sons Joey (Leslie), Gordon (Tracy); grandchildren Kimberley, Cara, Aaron, Jodi, Sarah, Sean and Autumn; great-grandchildren Damian and Elizabeth. She is survived by one sister, Ruby of Thunder Bay, ON, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Muriel was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Hall; sisters Dora and Ethel, and brothers Arthur, Frank and George. Muriel was born and raised in Selkirk, MB, where she met the love of her life Bill. They were married in 1951 and resided in Selkirk until 1959 when they moved to Petersfield, MB where they raised their family. In 1990 Muriel accepted the Lord as her personal saviour and became a member at the Grace Baptist Church where she loved and worshiped the Lord until the time of her passing. One of mom's greatest joys in life was watching all the different birds that came to their feeders. In the summer she took great pride in her flower gardens, enjoying the butterflies that were attracted to them. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, 321 Sophia Ave., Selkirk, MB on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, The Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Always in our hearts Forever loved.
