MARIANNE DAVIDSON (nee MACIVER) August 24, 1925 July 24, 2012 Peacefully, after a brief illness, Marianne passed away at the Victoria Hospital. Marianne was predeceased by her husband, Robert and her sister, Sandra Ringaert. She will be missed by: her nephew Ken Ringaert (Debbie), great-nephew Joey Ringaert, brother-in-law Joe Ringaert, stepson Greg Davidson (Troy) and stepdaughter Sally Davidson (Rik). She also leaves behind many friends in Kelowna, especially Moe and Jean Reverand, who were of great comfort to Marianne in the years after Robert's passing. Marianne and Robert had over 30 great years of golfing and warm weather while in retirement in Kelowna. She and Robert also travelled extensively throughout the world during their 42 years of marriage. In keeping with Marianne's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Many happy memories playing golf in Wpg Kelowna and Victoria. She was a dear friend and could not find her in Wpg after she moved and stoped emailing me. Most of the Logs are up there now so take care of the boys for us still left here. - Posted by: Marlene Aitken (friend) on: Aug 17, 2012

  • My sincere sympathies to all the family over Marianne's passing. She and Bob were great friends to us when Ted was transferred to Winnipeg (Simmons) and they both became a great part of our family. They made a point of coming over to the house early every Christmas morning to see the boys open their Santa gifts, and as grown men they still mention how much they loved having them join us. I had lost touch with her after Bob passed away and had no success in my attempts to contact her. I know that she will be missed very much by everyone fortunate enough to have known her. - Posted by: Kay Jackson (Friend) on: Aug 15, 2012

  • My parents Ted and Kay Jackson were good friends of Bob and Marianne in Winnipeg. Bob worked with dad at Simmons for many years. They were frequently over at the house and part of our lives growing up in Winnipeg and I can still hear Marianne's voice telling dad to knock it off. Actually in my wedding video dad is doing a roast of me and you can hear Marianne telling him to knock it off...he's a good kid...in the background. She was so very kind to us and always fostered a great sense of self esteem. RIP Marianne, say hello to Bob.
