ESTER (PARAS) PLATA With grace and courage and family surrounding her, Ester peacefully passed on August 12, 2012 at Concordia Hospital at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of the late Felix Plata and is survived by her children Romeo (Evelyn), Pepito (Virgie), Noel (Grata), Nenita (Oliver), Amelia (deceased), Emma (Edgar), Eleanor (Ronnie), Riza (Ronnie), Nora (Rodel), Joselito (Evie), Samuel (Douglas). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Olivia (Kevin), Sherisse, Brigette, Allan, Robin, Reggie, Michael, Andrea, Erwin and Sofia. Stephanie and Juvia (in Vancouver), Ella, Neil (deceased), Jhonna, Valerie, Khimberly, Jon, Jerryme, Von, Marie, Ronnie, Jing and Nino (in the Philippines). And her great-grandchild Brandon. Nanay Ester loved her family very much. She loved story telling and giving her family advice. She enjoyed the outdoors (Birds Hill Park), gardening and going on family trips. She loved watching The Kardashians show and TFC. Ester was very generous and thought of others before herself. The family would like to thank the staff of N1 South and ICU at Concordia Hospital for the care and compassion they showed Ester and her family during her illness. Viewing (Lamay) will be held on Thursday, August 16 and Friday, August 17, 2012 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Boulevard commencing at 6:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish-505 Brewster Street at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the mass at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. For online condolences or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca 1839 Inkster Blvd. 275-5555
