JUNE CYNTHIA ASHER (nee KNIGHT) April 27, 1926 August 11, 2012 After a brief battle with cancer, Mom went to be with her Lord. She leaves to mourn her passing her six children and spouses Terry (Lynda), Garry (Sharon), Sharon (Frank), Cam (Joann), Shelley (Wayne), and Charlene (Brent). Also left to mourn are brothers Alvin (Shirley) and Jack; sisters-in-law Margaret, Helen, Fran, Marie, Dora; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. For 29 years mom was known as Auntie June to the 109 kids that passed through her home daycare. Many of these kids now have children of their own and wish that auntie June was still in business. Love you mom rest in peace The Asher family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Lindenschmidt and Bev, Selkirk Homecare, (and some special people, you know who you are), Palliative care, and last but not least her family of friends at Knox Presbyterian Church (especially Anthon). • Your mom was such a special lady who has known me my entire life. • "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal" Granny June will remain in our hearts forever - Posted by: Andrea (step-granddaughter) on: Aug 21, 2012

  • June was a very special lady, always kind to me and understanding. I didn't get a chance to visit her two years ago when I visited Winnipeg to visit my family and friends as Chuck had just passed away. - Posted by: Leona Strong, nee Russell (niece of Bert Asher) on: Aug 19, 2012

  • As a friend of the boy "kids" I know how much they love their mother even if "guys" don't say so. The word respect has her picture beside it in the dictionary. Mrs. Asher, I am still sorry I ran over your flower garden, 50 years ago, with Terry's' motorcycle. You will be missed. - Posted by: John Rohs (Family friend) on: Aug 19, 2012

  • I knew June as cheerful, hard-working, always seeing the good side of everyone. Most proud and loving Mother of all her children and grandchildren and a loving and devoted wife to Bert. - Posted by: Adrienne Corbett (cousin) on: Aug 18, 2012
