Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANICE ELIZABETH CABRAL (nee ROSE) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Janice Cabral on Monday, August 20, 2012. Janice was predeceased by her parents, Ian and Isobel, sisters, Debbie and Edna, brother, Terry, niece, Melissa, and father-in-law, Manuel. Left to cherish her memory are husband of 34 loving years Antonio Cabral, daughters, Lisa and Jennifer (Kelly), sisters, Jackie, Cheryl (Gord) and Terry (Barb), brothers, Dave (Wendy) and Rick, as well as, numerous extended family members and friends. Janice was born in Winnipeg on October 25, 1955. She was the middle child of nine children. She worked at TAS and King's Electric Motors before becoming a full-time mom. Janice bravely fought a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and filled her life with happy times with her family. She enjoyed spending her summers with her family at their cottage in the Whiteshell. She loved to knit, bake cookies and enjoyed going to bingo with her sisters. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the homecare workers who helped take care of Janice in recent years. Prayers will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. in Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, 505 Brewster Street with funeral mass commencing on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one half hour prior to mass also in St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Burial will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Janice to The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Manitoba Division, 100-1465 Buffalo Place, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 1L8. Janice was such a great person, always so positive even with everything she went through. It is totally devasting that she is gone far too early. To say she will be greatly missed is such an understatement. We had so many good times both in our childhood years and in married life. It hardly seems possible that she is gone. We shared many happy times growing up and as adults. There was usually Janice, Brenda, Denise and myself always together later Cheryl joined us as well. Riding around in cars when we were old enough to drive and before that riding out to the airport by bus for coffee. We had a lot of fun and a lot of memories.
