ALLAN ANDERSON 1939-2012 In the quiet hours of the morning, Al passed away on September 1, 2012 at the young age of 73. He was born in Poplar Park on June 29, 1939. Left to remember Al is his wife of 50 years, Bev, and his three children, Shannon (Gary), Shelley (Tracy), and Trevor (Brandi); younger brothers Russ (Diane) and Merle (Debbie) and their families. A poppa to Riley, Callum, Shae-lyn, Madison, Justin and Dakotah. Al was predeceased by his parents, Arnie and Martha Anderson. Al and Bev married in Selkirk and spent a short time in Winnipeg before relocating to Brandon to pursue a promising career in the plumbing industry. He worked for Westburne/Wolseley for 40 years. Upon retirement they moved to St. Andrews, Manitoba. Al had a big heart and would give a helping hand to anyone in need. His home was always open to his numerous friends. He always had a smile talking about his music friends and their gospel jamborees. The special moments and memories in our life will never change. They will always be in our heart, today and forevermore. As a family we are grateful and extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Health Science Centre MICU for the passionate care given to Al and his family. There will be a Memorial service to celebrate his life on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd 6088 Hwy 9A in Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made to CancerCare Manitoba, Leukemia Society. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
