WALTER JAMES STARR On September 5, 2012, at the Tudor House Personal Care Home, Selkirk, MB, Walter Starr, aged 83 years, passed away. He is survived by his brother Tommy Starr; sister Linda Snow (Howard); children Susan (Larry) Hodge, Faron Starr (Marlene), Larry Starr, Gail Starr and, Kelly Starr (Kim). He also leaves to mourn numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff at Tudor House; paramedics and staff at the Selkirk General Hospital, Kendra and Petrina, Pastor Tina Leveque, Gilbart Funeral Home, pallbearers and honorary pallbearers as well as the Brokenhead band office and community members. Pallbearers will be Walter Greyeyes, Dennis Johnston, Richard Sinclair, Shawn Kent, Langford Straight and Orten Desjarlais. A wake will begin on Saturday, September 8, at 3:30 p.m. in the Brokenhead Community Hall (beside Bingo Palace), and a funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, at 2:00 p.m. also in the hall, with Pastor Tina Leveque officiating. WALTER JAMES STARR Peacefully, on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Tudor Personal Care Home, Walter Starr, aged 83 years, formerly of Brokenhead, MB, husband of the late Dorothy Agnes Starr. Funeral service is pending for Monday, September 10 at Brokenhead, MB. A wake is also pending on Saturday and Sunday. Full obituary to follow in Saturday's paper.
