Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDYANNE MARIE MARTIN (nee JUPP) July 25, 1946 - August 28, 2012 On Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Dyanne lost her courageous battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre with her husband Ron at her side. Dyanne was the only daughter of the late Melvin and Marie (Tommy) Jupp of Winnipeg. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ron, her brother Richard (Donna) of Fruitvale, BC, nephews Kelly Jupp of Winnipeg, Kevin (Lynn) and great-nephew Ryan Jupp of Regina, Saskatchewan, brother and sisters-in-law, Gord (Joan) Martin, Sheila Martin of Winnipeg and Myrna Martin of Altona, nieces and nephews Damon (Jen) Martin of Winnipeg, Tamera Martin of Winnipeg, Bridgette Martin of Altona and Chris (Mel) Zacharias of Fruitvale, BC. Dyanne was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on July 25, 1946. She was educated in the Portage schools. During her high school years she spent her spare time dancing, drinking cokes and listening to music with her friends at Nick's Cafe across from Portage Collegiate. She also worked part time at the Mayfair Hotel Restaurant where she met her future husband Ron for the first time. In her late teens the family moved to Winnipeg where she again met her future husband. They decided to get married. She was employed at the T. Eaton Company in the data processing Dept for many years before joining her husband as a partner in starting a manufacturing Company called The Marble Factory. After 22 years in the business the Company was sold and she could retire early with her husband. Dyanne loved to read and had a great love for every animal that wandered into her yard, except for the messy Wild Turkeys that kept her very busy some days keeping them off the patio and deck. Dyanne was a very generous supporter of many local charities and was always prepared to help those less fortunate including the homeless animals at The Winnipeg Humane Society. The family would like to thank the Health Care System as a whole and especially the staff and drivers at CancerCare Manitoba, Victoria Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital, Riverview Hospital, the daily visits of the Home Care nurses and especially our family Doctor, Brian Sharkey who made weekly visits to our house. At Dyanne's request, cremation has taken place and a family gathering to celebrate her life will take place soon. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. May you be at peace.
