A gentle man with a strong faith. This is how I knew Clarence. He was a friend and a mentor to his cousin, my late husband, Delbert throughout Del's youth. He spent many vacations and winters with his Aunt Myrtle and Uncle Gus Vopni in Winnipeg when he was a young man. Del had many wonderful stories of cottage trips with Clarence and his brother Mervin with antics in the water and lots of fun adventures. Clarence was the rock foundation when Mervin died, and he and Mary worked together on the farm and he helped Mary to provide a strong base on the farm for Brian, Don and Sharon. Del and I would have great conversations with Clarence when we visitied Manitou, and we always included a walk around the farm or cross country skiing around the farm in the winter time. I was privileged to have known him. - Posted by: Brenda Vopni (Cousin by marriage) on: Sep 19, 2012
