Leona was my Grandfather's (Walter Large) second wife. I have memories of visiting them during my yearly summer visits to Manitoba from Alberta. I recall earlier visits when they were first together, and have few pictures of our trip to Waterton National Park. Perhaps my favorite memory is of the beautiful rocking horse Leona brought for my new born son when she travelled through Alberta to visit her family the year following my Grandfather's passing. I had never seen such a beautifully crafted, real rope tail and all, rocking horse. - Posted by: Alicia Wyatt () on: Oct 29, 2012

I send my heartfelt compassion to you all during this trying time. I did not know the whole family, just Dr. Large. You are such an awesome physician and have always wanted to tell you such. But there is a little something I'd like to share with you. You delivered my daughter, on April 24, 1984. I had gallbladder trouble thru out & you took such good care of me & my lil girl... For that I will be 4ever grateful! Here's the thing: you also delivered a boy, on April 4th, 1984- to Lori Schroeder (now deceased) & Willie Schroeder. The awesome thing about this is? That boy,Shane William Schroeder,& my girl, Randalyn Brett Mardynalka, are now married! And they feel a connection of sorts due to the fact they were delivered by same Doc... And we never lived in the same towns! I am glad I got to relate this to you. Take care. God Bless - Posted by: Danielle Allen (Someone who cares / former patient of Dr.Large) on: Sep 23, 2012
