I knew Isobel 1975-1977 when we worked together at B of M Fort Richmond. I have great memories of her as a friend and co-worker. I remember many great times together, including dinner at the beefeater on Osborne and several pizza lunches. We Shared lots of laughter and great conversations. She was beautiful lady, a precious friend! My sincere condolences to your whole family. - Posted by: Kavita Mulchand (Friend) on: Sep 15, 2016

Dear Heather, Lori, Gordon, and Verne How sad I was to hear that your mother, Isobel, has passed away. I have only seen her a few times in the years that I have travelled home from Calgary to visit my parents but each time I was always greeted with the smile I remember as a child when I was a steady visitor to your home in the sixties. Your mother (and your father) always included me in the Friday night movie with chips and pop in the basement as well as the occasional New Year’s Eve party. Those were heady times for a ten year old; your family was different than mine and I delighted in being a part of that. I remember a Sunday trip to Starbuck to watch the snowmobile races. I remember sliding into the booth in your kitchen when your mom asked me to stay for dinner. But what I remember most was your mother’s laugh and I recall that because I heard it so often. She found humour in all things in life and I always remember her as happy person. My deepest condolences to your loss. May you find peace and joy in knowing how much your mother was loved by others. I'll always remember her good humor and kindness to a six year old who trampled her gorgeous flower beds and plucked irresistibly vibrant tulips. My deepest condolences to your family. - Posted by: Jill Nicholson (former neighbour) on: Sep 27, 2012

My deepest condolences to Verne and family. My dad Stan worked with Verne for many years in Fort Garry. I met Isobel when I was just a small child. I went to school with Heather and I remember going over to the Frantz's after school or on weekends to hang out with Heather. Isobel always made me feal welcome. - Posted by: Paul & Sharon Bartmanovich (Friend of the family) on: Sep 26, 2012

Verne and Isobel's cottage is across the road from mine. I didn't get to know Isobel very much as she was not well throughout the last few years, and my husband also was not well. He passed away from pancreatic cancer nearly a year ago. I just feel Isobel must have been a gentle soul, much loved by everyone who got to know her. May she rest in peace. She is with the Lord. - Posted by: Annette Bonomo (friend from the cottage) on: Sep 26, 2012
