LEONARD J. LUCAS
Date of Passing: Sep 22, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONARD J. LUCAS Len died unexpectedly on September 22, 2012, at the age of 69. He is lovingly remembered by his dad Joe, wife Cathy, children Kristin and Tim, brother-in-law Colin MacArthur, nieces Sara and Lexi, extended family, and the Gallaghers. Everyone at Taylor McCaffery was very important to Len, and they miss him, as do all of his dear friends and colleagues. At the time of his death, Len was a partner at Taylor McCaffery, specializing in business and commercial law, and chair of the firm's Corporate Department. As everyone knows, Len had an enormous love for his work, and the relationships he had with his clients meant a lot to him. He liked baseball, running, roller blading, reading, and music; he adored taking Stella-the-dog to the dog park, whenever she visited. For their exceptional care, our heartfelt thanks go to everyone working on the A5 ward at Health Sciences Centre. A memorial service will be held at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., on Thursday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined; donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. I am so saddened to learn of Len's passing. Remembering the many fine times Kathy and I shared in the past and how her loving heart transformed so many lives, made the reality of her loss hard to contemplate. The knowledge that so many people will be there for her at this difficult time, will show the care and concern that the community feels. My heartfelt condolences to Kathy and her fine family.
