Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLY MARLENE HAUS Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on September 22, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital. Lil is survived by her beloved son Greg, daughters Linda Sluis (Henk) of Kenora, and Brenda Lenz (Lambert) of Starbuck, and her two grandchildren Bradley and Nathan. She also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Lil was predeceased by her daughter Debbie, her parents, her twin sisters Esther and Ethel, and three brothers, Gordon, Allen and Jack. Lil was born in Empress, Alberta and was 79 years of age. In earlier years she was very active in the community through volunteer work with schools, community centre, church and sports organizations as well as political organizations to name a few. In later years the love of her life was her cottage near Kenora which she helped build. Her passion for gardening is evidenced throughout the cottage lot and her handmade quilts reside in many homes. She was always happiest when she was with people and was included in family celebrations. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Ave., Winnipeg, MB. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
