FRANCES KUZIK (LUSCHINSKI) It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Frances Kuzik on September 24, 2012 at the age of 88. Frances leaves to mourn her three sons Broderick (Cynthia), Reid and Cameron (Janice); grandchildren, Kristin (Corey Strachan), Laura (Dennis Leger), Brandon and Dylan Kuzik; great-grandchildren Tre', Hailee and Lexi Strachan, Ava, Colten and Brady Leger; sisters Rose Becker, Joyce Stuppard and Emily Chisholm. Frances was born in Malonton, MB on January 18, 1924. She was raised in Fraserwood by her parents Julia and Leon Luschinski and was one of nine children. In 1943 Frances met her husband and love of her life Michael Kuzik and married him in 1953. Sadly Mike died in 1971 leaving Frances to raise their three boys. Frances was a school teacher in Fraserwood, Komarno, Sky Lake and Gimli. She touched the lives of her students and anyone who got to know her. She enjoyed travelling all over North America, visiting her sisters in B.C., Alberta, Ontario, sleepovers with sister Rose and bus trips with her friends. Most of all she loved visiting with friends and family and hosting numerous family events. You would never leave the Kuzik house hungry or thirsty . Later in life Frances' pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grand-children. She was very proud to hear about their accomplishments such as hockey, fishing or first smiles. Frances was a very generous, loving and hard working person that will be deeply missed by all. We would like to thank the Betel staff for the love, care and support they provided to our mom for the past two and a half years. A celebration of her life will be held at the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Gimli on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Gimli Community Cemetery.
