Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN KAMENIK August 29, 1927 September 22, 2012 Peacefully, on Saturday, September, 22 at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, John Kamenik, aged 85 years passed away. John was born in Czechoslovakia, and came to Canada in 1938 at the age of 11. He was predeceased by his parents John and Susan and was an only child. He lived in Transcona until he was 18 years old. He really enjoyed the company of others as well as being productive, doing various jobs during his hospitalization. John also lived in many communities throughout his life and enjoyed various activities and group outings. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1 at 1:30 p.m. in the Tyndall Building Multipurpose Room with interment to follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery, Selkirk.
