Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCOLIN ASHLIE (GARRY ALAN DAWES) February 18, 1953 - September 20, 2012 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Colin Ashlie on September 20, 2012, at the age of 59 years, at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief illness. Colin is survived by his son Chad Iverson, brothers Peter Dawes (Donna), Donald Dawes and sisters Pat Boyce (Howie), Chris Bridges (Ron), Margaret Campbell and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Kay (Jaman) Dawes. Colin grew up in the north end of the city and attended West Kildonan Collegiate and later attended the University of Manitoba where he received a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree. Colin served in the military reserves with the Fort Garry Horse regiment. He was working for VIA Rail when his career was cut short due to injuries sustained in the Hinton, Alberta train crash. Colin was also actively involved in his community. A graveside service will be held for those wishing to pay their last respects on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Cemetery, 4477 Main St., West St Paul. Meeting for direction to burial site prior to interment at the administration office on cemetery grounds.
