ENG March 22, 1949 - October 4, 2012 Peacefully on October 4, 2012, after a brief illness with cancer and family at his side, Ron passed away. Ron was predeceased by his parents, brothers Walter, Tony, Elvis, Joseph at infancy, brother-in-law Marty Muranetz, and nephew James. He is survived by his bestest friend Sheila, brothers Stan (Erica), Frank (Debbie), sister Marie, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was born in Grandview, MB, pursued further education at R.R.C.C., obtained his CET in 1967 and later obtained his P. Eng degree in 1977 at the University of Manitoba. Construction of all sorts was his passion especially establishing foundations and underground services. Over the last 30 years he managed Preset Piling and approximately 15 years ago he added the responsibilities as manager of Cambrian Excavators. On weekends he liked driving by and checking on all the jobsites. Ron loved his career choice. In his spare time he had a passion for reading and enjoyed watching sports. Ron had just started his semi-retirement and began to do some travelling which he enjoyed. Respecting Ron's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's name to a charity of one's choice. He touched the lives of all who knew him and will live in our hearts forever.
