Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA LOUISA DAVIES (nee YOUNG) November 12, 1931 September 27, 2012 After a lengthy illness with cancer, it is with deep sorrow and regret we mourn the passing of our Mother, Grandmother (Nannie), and Auntie. Anna Louisa Davies passed away on September 27, 2012 at the St. Boniface General Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Joe) Prohaska of Winnipeg, Diane (Jeff) Brusse of Abbotsford, BC, grandchildren Bianca, Brendan, Connor, Liam and Mikayla along with one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her husband Colin, parents Andriza and Sidney Young and her brothers Frank and Edward Young. Anna met Colin in England, he eventually followed her to Canada in 1950. Anna and Colin enjoyed holidays at Grand Beach, visiting Vancouver and Europe along with short trips to the States. She started her career as a secretary at Great West Life and later left to raise her family. She enjoyed crafting, playing cards, knitting, baking and spending time with family. A special thanks to doctors and nursing staff on 7A South at St. Boniface Hospital and Chaplain Louise Saurette. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will be held, on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. To our cousins Susan and Diane, Sorry to hear of your mum's passing via the internet. We have fond memories of her visits to the UK and her delightful letters we received with all the Canadian news over the years. Be at peace and join Colin and Raymond (Colin's brother) in heaven. Ann you are a true friend and at peace. You will now be in Heaven with Robyn Lynn, Wayne, Cheryl and my latest son Geoffrey that just passed away on June 1, 2012. Diane and Susan your mom would give what she had to help anyone. She will be missed and her life was not always easy but she had made a good life for you and I know she would have done anything for your girls.
