Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROMEO JOSEPH RICHARD It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Roméo Joseph Richard on October 4, 2012 peacefully with his devoted family by his side. Roméo was predeceased by his father Julien, his mother Claire (née Daignault) and siblings; Eveline and Fernande. Roméo will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 61 years Marie-Thérèse (née Dufault); his daughters Denise, Louise (Jean), and Diane (Ed). He was blessed with six grandchildren; Chantal (François), Shannon, Christine (Jason), Roxanne, Colleen (Nathan), Richard and six great-grandchildren; Alexus, Zachary, Nathalie, Brayden, Chace, Tristian. Roméo is also survived by his brother Marcel, and sisters; Juliette, Lucille (Paul), and Estelle. Roméo was born in St. François Xavier, MB on February 3, 1923. As a veteran in the Second World War, he was stationed overseas in England. He worked at Westeel, until the time of his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool. He was a loyal fan of Les Canadiens de Montréal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Norwood Branch) and the Belgian Club. A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. We love you, Pépère.' My deepest sympathies to Romeo's family. I had the pleasure of being in Romeo's company at gatherings at my friend (his granddaughter) Chantal's home over the years. He was always a friendly, smiling man. You will always have loving memories of him to cherish. Even though I can't be there with you in your sorrow, know you are always in my thoughts.
