ROLAND VOURIOT On Thursday, October 11, 2012 Rollie passed away, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer in the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 59. Rollie was born on October 19, 1952 and was raised on the family farm in La Salle, MB. He is survived by his mother Denise, daughter Randi and son-in-law Kris, and son Jereme. His siblings Lucille, Terry (Gordy), Rose (Don), Gilles, Aline (Chuck), Marcel, and sister-in-law Diane, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father Eugene, brother Denis, sister Aline and brother-in-law Emile. Rollie was the resident caretaker at Anavet Lodge for 21 years, where he made many friends. Dad enjoyed his daily long walks and would never miss a Bomber or Jets game. He was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Reverend Father Gary Killen officiating. Special thanks to all the people in the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for taking such wonderful care of him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Paliative Care Unit.   • Rolly, godspeed. I am very saddened to hear of your passing but I'm glad you are no longer suffering. When we saw you a few weeks ago you were a shell of your true self. We have known you for many years, you watched my children grow up. You were always kind and you always took the time to come talk to us.
