Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE CHMIELNICKI Lawrence Chmielnicki passed away peacefully in Winnipeg, at the age of 89, on October 13, 2012 after a long struggle with cancer. He is predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Mary; three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife Jennifer of Winnipeg; son Bob Chmielnicki (Carol) of Regina; son Tom Chmielnicki (Monica) of Winnipeg; grandchildren Brendan and Allison of Regina; grandchildren Jordan and Chrystal of Winnipeg; sister Jean Ruchkall of Beausejour, and many nephews and nieces. Lawrence was born in Melrose, Manitoba, the youngest of eight children. He farmed in Hazelridge, Manitoba for many years. He moved with his family to Winnipeg in 1968 where he worked for CN Railway until his retirement. He was a hard working man who remained active until four weeks before passing away. He had a strong sense of family and will be missed by them. The funeral service will take place at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium, 1800 Day Street in Winnipeg on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 12:00 noon with a luncheon reception to follow.
