CARL MELVIN (BUD) SAUNDERS It is with great sorrow, we announce Bud's passing at the age of 72. He passed peacefully surrounded by family at Selkirk General Hospital, on Monday, October 15, 2012. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years Myrna; his son Clayton (Robyn); his sisters Darlene, Maxine, and Leona (Ron); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bud was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Herman, and sister Sharon. Bud was born January 2, 1940, and was raised in Lockport, where he lived for most of his life. He met Myrna in 1958 and they married in 1973. Bud worked at the locks in Lockport for 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing cards, and watching his son play hockey. He was also the honorary Mayor of Lockport for 35 years. The family would like to invite those who knew him to help celebrate his life on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church, 227 McLean Ave. Selkirk.
