A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Full obituary to follow in Saturday's edition of the Free Press. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

Dick brought colour into all the lives he touched. He was full of adventure and never without a cup of coffee. We remember his wonderful hobbies from his wood mill to dark water diving. He loved a bargain and loved sharing his newest found yard sale item. He was a wonderful host. We will miss him and smile when we think of just one more thing he did or was going to do. My warm thoughts and best wishes are with you, Lynn and Karen. I remember fondly Dick's welcoming and sociable nature. You've travelled a long and hard road. I can relate.
