ELLA ROY (nee SLOCK) February 3, 1922 - October 17, 2012 Peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 Ella passed away at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dianne (Paul), her niece Janet (Ron) Ceaser, her nephew Ronald Slock, and sister-in-law Lorna. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gabriel, their daughter Elaine, her parents Adolph and Pauline Slock, her brothers Reinheld, Leopold and Frederick, her sister Blondina Cox, her brother-in-law Lionel, sisters-in-law Annie and Josie, nephew Daniel Slock, and niece Linda Slock. She was born in Sprague where she spent her early years, then to Snowflake for several more years and finally to Aubigny where she met Gabe. They farmed for many years but her passions were gardening and raising her flowers. She loved doing preserves and whenever anyone came to visit they never went home empty handed. She was a strong willed person and even though she suffered with arthritis for many years, she never let it stop her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Red River Valley Lodge and Dr. Fraser who took excellent care of her. A memorial service was held October 27, 2012 at the Morris Funeral Home with family and friends. If so desired, contributions may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Red River Valley Lodge.
