VICTOR LOUIS ROY May 4, 1936 - October 29, 2012 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad on October 29, 2012, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his beloved wife Annette (née Clément), son Marcel, brother Roger and his parents Georges and Simone (née Bellefeuille). He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Réal, daughter Nicole (Maurice Girard); granddaughter Madison Grant; sisters Cécile (Lionel Paquette), Rita Crook (Berry Sinns), Giselle (Barry Grabish); sisters-in-law Marie (Jean Vachon), Pauline (Adrien Thevenot), Monique (Rick Dalton), Yvette (Al Tyson); brothers-in-law Gilbert Clément, René Clément (Yvonne Touchette), and many nephews and nieces. Dad was born in Dollard, Saskatchewan May 4, 1936. For 34 years Dad proudly worked as a firefighter before retiring in 1991 as an Acting District Chief. His other passion was carpentry, sharing his skills and later working with Réal. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and also hunting which provided for wonderful meat pies at Christmas! Anyone who knew our dear Dad would know how much he loved old time fiddling and jigging and how he would break out in dance!!!! Dad was an active, lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, Goulet Council, where he forged many great friendships. The family would like to thank the Emergency department, CCU and A5 Cardiology at St. Boniface Hospital for their exceptional care given to our Dad and a special thanks to his Family Physician, Dr. Kevin Coates. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Précieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny Street, with viewing one hour prior to the mass. • We would like to offer our deepest sympathy to all the family. I have manny fond memories of Vic running the bar at the festival du voyageur Vic was a very kind man and was alway willing to give a hand and always had words of wisdom that he passed on to me.
