DOMINGA CRUZ Dominga Cruz peacefully passed away November 4, 2012 at 5.30 a.m. at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 79 years. She will be greatly missed by her loving children; Adora (Sam), Eusebio (Tina), Fernando (Josie), Imelda, Helen (Ramil) and Roberto (Jane); her 18 grandchildren; Rizza, Elvin, Eldrin, Kristina, Karen, Riel, Jordan, Carlo, Ronnie, Brian, Reymart, Robbie, Rachel, Jared, Razl, Angelo, Lauren, Nico; and her two great-grandchildren; Kaleiya and Ethan. She was predeceased by her parents, Pablo and Fernanda, her husband, Celso, and daughter Anabelen. Dominga was born in Ususan, Taguig, Philippines on July 4, 1933. Following her daughters, Adora and Anabelen, she immigrated with her husband and rest of her family to Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 19, 1984. In Winnipeg, she worked at Western Gloves Garments, and retired from that company at the age of 65. Dominga's door was always open to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, understanding, and homemade Filipino food. Lamay/Viewing will commence at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Vigil Prayers will be held on both evenings at 7:30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St., Reverend Father Mariano Batucan celebrant. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB. Thank you to all the St. Boniface doctors, nurses, student nurses, and other health care staff on the 8th floor and to Mosaic Funeral Services for organizing the funeral service. Also, thank you to all the family, and friends who visited Dominga and helped support the Cruz family during the last few months.
