Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD JACKSON PATRICK KOSACK Donald passed away peacefully on November 6, 2012 with his family by his side. He is now at peace with the Lord. He was predeceased by his parents Dave and Jean Kosack and an infant sister. He leaves to mourn his son Tony and sister Evelyn Schinkel (Reinhardt); also many aunts, cousins and friends. Donald was born on June 25, 1938 in Selkirk, MB and grew up on a farm in St. Peters, went to school in Hoey West and Selkirk Collegiate. He left home at an early age to test the waters of the world and all it had to offer. In 1955, Don started work at Dominion Bridge in Winnipeg, later went to Fort William, ON. He then ventured out San Antonio Gold Mines, Abitibi Pulp, the Dew Line and back to Dominion Bridge. On the move again he worked for Cross Canada Atlas Van Lines, Wiebe Trucking, hauling building supplies, on to Wayne Jack Building, started his own business then back to Selkirk as a crane operator for Manitoba Rolling Mills for 20 years. Don retired in 1998. He then helped his parents plant and nurture their garden. Don was very proud of his son Tony. He moved to Winnipeg in 2005 to be close to and spend more quality time with Tony. We would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Don. A special thank you to Roland Steinman for his never ending help and support for Don and Tony and to Pastor Dave Saude for his spiritual care. Also to the staff at Gilbarts and all the calls and support. As per Donald's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Selkirk or the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Rest in Peace Dear one Vichnaya Pam'Yat Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
