SYLVIA GATES On Sunday, November 4, 2012, Sylvia Gates passed away at Poseidon Care Home. She will be sadly missed by her family in England, and her good friends and neighbours in Winnipeg, where she was Head Nurse in the Health Sciences Centre for many years. May God Bless her and grant her His Peace. In loving memory of our dear sister and aunt. Love from us all Walter, Iris, Brenda, Beryl and Barry A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 3:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard with a small reception to follow in the Thomson In the Park Funeral Home. My mother Mary W. is also a resident at the Poseidon care center and I have served Sylvia many a cup of tea and snack during my evening visits on the 4th floor. She was very proud of the time she spent as a head nurse at HSC. I was very sorry to learn of her passing and will miss her on my visits.
