Dad was born at home in the RM of Stanley on April 15, 1946, to Rev. Abram and Maria Friesen, the fourth of twelve children. He was baptized on June 9, 1966, and became of member of the Sommerfeld Church. On September 24, 1967, he married Margaret Suderman. Jake was a farmer at heart and remained involved in his family farm until this last harvest. In the late 1980s, he purchased Load Line Mfg. and became known to many people as Load Line Jake. His love and passion was his family and especially his grandchildren. After his cancer diagnosis in May, his strong determination and will to remain on this earth with his family and especially his grandchildren became even more apparent. He was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his next two grandchildren in December and January. Dad and Mom taught us the importance of faith in God. He demonstrated his faith by his generosity and caring to every person he met, wherever he was.
