MARLENE BONNIE CASEY (nee POELS) June 30, 1953 - November 11 , 2012 Very sadly this past Sunday, November 11, 2012, Marlene Bonnie Casey (Poels) passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, MB. Marlene was predeceased by two brothers Ed and Ralph. Marlene is survived by her husband James Casey, eldest son Michael Casey (Angela), her daughter Reanne Casey (Les) and youngest son Kenneth Casey and grandchildren Vanessa, Eric, Cassandra, Lucas, Cadie and her little Ariel. Marlene also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Barney, Reginald, Peter, Michael, Rosemary, Heather, Marjorie and Mary. With countless nieces and nephews Marlene's family was complete and a great sense of pride. A public memorial for Marlene will be held this Friday, November 16 at Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium, located at 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg , MB at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Children's Wish Foundation International, http://www.childrenswish.org/ Funeral Arrangements in Care of Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium 1800 Day Street (204) 224-1525

  • My mother was one of the best! She loved everyone and took care of all, always welcomed everyone in let me tell you we always had a house full !!! To write every memory I have would take a life time but.... She was the one who taught me to be who I am now and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I will always miss you and never forget ! Marlene Bonnie Casey she helped in the raising of so many children mine included thanks for teaching my daughters how to bake your cookies and spending countless hours this past summer with your granddaughter Ariel. she will hold those memories with her forever!   • Marlene loved to cook and she was the best cook around! She made the best mashed potatos and chocolate chip cookies. She also loved sandwiches and use to sing the song "I love sandwiches" by Bob King. She would sing it every chance she could at Weddings when it was requested if someone knew a song with the word "love" in it! Marlene was a devoted wife and mother, her family always came first!
