DONALD ALLAN WILLIAMS July 25, 1952 - November 11 , 2012 It is with deep sorrow our family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Don on November 11, 2012. Don was predeceased by his father Allan, Dianna's parents Harold and Irene Radu, brother-in-law Jim Hill and nephew Andy. Don is survived by his loving wife Dianna, his much loved son Michael (Randi), mother Mary, sister Barb, sister-in-law Brenda (Ross), niece Kim (Cam), nephews Jason, Ryan, Darien and Eric, and his many friends. Don was born in Winnipeg and lived for a time in Atikokan, Ontario. Don was at first an auto mechanic and then trained to become a heating and cooling technician. He was currently employed with the City of Winnipeg. Don was quiet by nature but loved to tease, and had a thousand jokes and sayings (some we may never understand). His greatest pride was his son Michael. We will miss his presence in our lives deeply. We hope you have everlasting peace Don, we love you. Others were taken this we know, but you were ours and we miss you so. A Celebration of Don's life will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 in the Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A heart of gold stopped beating, hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the best. Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Don and I were great friends during most of the seventies. We were both in our twenties and had a lot of fun together racing around in our stingrays (his pearl white and mine blue), scuba diving at West Hawk and just having fun with our girl friends ( he was with Dianna then). We hadn't spoken since those days but I thought of him from time to time. Don you were one of the good guys and I regret not having tried to contact you! GOD SPEED old friend! - Posted by: John Oelkers (Old Friend) on: Nov 23, 2012

  • When we tried to understand why...Paul said it was about the footprint we leave behind...I can hear you chuckle Don when I say Paul was right. You have left a lasting footprint. Our lives are that much richer for having known you. - Posted by: Audrey and Paul Nicolas (Friends) on: Nov 21, 2012

  • Don's humour and easy going attitude is what I will remember most. He was like a real brother to me as well as golf partner. I will never forget you Don and you were loved by all especially me. - Posted by: Ross Gilmore (Brother in law) on: Nov 21, 2012

  • The HVAC (City of Wpg) shop will miss him and his humor. The morning coffee breaks were enjoyable with Don and he will be missed by us all. The car stories and tales of his Roadrunner and Corvette......we enjoyed the car talk - Posted by: Mark Csizmadia (Co-worker/ friend) on: Nov 19, 2012

  • Uncle Don will be sadly missed. Although he spoke quietly his words always produced laughter amongst our small, but close family. There will always be that missing element in our family dinners and celebrations. Darien and Eric will always have the memory of their "cool" great uncle encouraging them to drive golf balls in his back yard this past summer. Even though the balls were bouncing off of the neighbors house he didn't care (he just chuckled) because they were having fun. We will never forget you Uncle Don! - Posted by: Kim McNicholl (Don's niece ) on: Nov 18, 2012

  • Sorry to hear of Donny's early passing. I have fond memories when I was young talking to Don at Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Barbara's on many Christmas gatherings. Don was always fun to talk to about his white Corvette Stingray and his work as a heavy duty mechanic. Although I have not seen Don in many years he was a cool guy and will be missed. - Posted by: Bruce McPhail (Don is my Aunt Barbara's Brother) on: Nov 17, 2012

  • Please accept our deepest sympothy and our thought are with you, all, at this time of your great loss. - Posted by: Charron (Alcock) & Vic Johnson (cousin) on: Nov 17, 2012
