Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPASQUANTONIO BARONE (1939 2012) It is with profound sadness and great love that we announce the passing of Pasquantonio Barone on November 19, 2012. Pasquantonio was a genuine and proud person, and always a true gentleman. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by his family and friends and always remembered for his wisdom, kindness, compassion and generosity. Pasquantonio was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Maria Domenica. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Gabriella, sister Domenica, daughter and son-in-law Tonia and Philip, son and daughter-in-law Aurelio and Voula, his precious granddaughters (Gabriella, Maria Eleni and Isabella), nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Pasquantonio was born in Colledimacine, Abruzzo, Italy on May 23, 1939. At the age of 18 he left Italy to pursue work in France as a bricklayer. He returned to Italy, often, to spend time with his parents and to court the woman of his dreams, Gabriella. Once married to the love of his life, they both returned to France for a few years before deciding to embark on their new adventure in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, he worked as a bricklayer for four years, and then joined the Assiniboine South School Division as a custodian until his retirement. Papà's pleasures in life were simple but meaningful. Family, education and friends were of the utmost importance to him. He enjoyed watching soccer games, reading, making wine, working in the garden and most of all, sharing the fruits of his labour with family and friends. Papà was a very proud, but humble, person who always put the needs of others first. We will never forget all of the sacrifices he made to ensure we were well provided for. We will always remember his devotion to family and friends, his generosity and that special twinkle in his eyes. Special thanks to the Palliative Care team (Dr. St. Goddard, Louise, Shirley and the many other caring nurses and staff). Thank you to Dr. Lu for his special care and concern over the years. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the Mass. Rev. Father Renato Pasinato officiating. A private family entombment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Riposa in pace. We will always love you, Nonno. For online condolences or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca Mosaic 1839 Inkster Blvd. 1006 Nairn Ave. 204-275-5555
