Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN JULYAN (NEE MORESIDE) May 21, 1918 - November 16, 2012 Peacefully on Friday, November 16 beloved wife of Norm passed away. Helen was born in Watrous, SK to George and May Westbrook. She moved to Oak River as a young girl where she later met Norm. Helen taught music in the Oak River area as well as worked in the Telephone Office. After selling the farm Helen and Norm began their lives in the grocery business. They owned stores in Brandon, Alexander and Wawanesa. In their retirement they moved to Portage la Prairie. In 2004 they moved to Winnipeg to come live with her beloved grandchildren. Helen was preceded by her son's Ken (1972) and Lyle (1978) her parents, and brothers Raymond in infancy and Raegh. Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years Robert (Norman), her son Murray wife Sharon, her two lights of her life grandson Colton and granddaughter Cassie and Lexx the family dog. A family celebration of her life will be held in the spring with her interment in Oak River. Just heard of your Mom's death Murray. She was a wonderful musician. I remember listening many times to her and your dad play with the Riddell's orchestra. Not many of them left now.
