PAUL BOGDONOV Born in Winnipeg on April 5, 1944, Paul Bogdonov was the youngest son of Harry and Bella Bogdonov. Paul passed away on November 21, 2012, after a life well lived. Paul will be deeply missed by his wife Sandie, his daughter Lisa of Ottawa, his son Danny of Kitchener (Shannon MacDonnell), his sister Sally Weltman (Harry), his stepdaughters Kerri Bjornson of Ottawa and Roxi Johnston of Moosejaw. His sister-in-law Avril Boyd (the late David), will also miss him. Paul was a devoted Poppa to Hartley Melamed, Reaghan Bogdonov, Kieran Bogdonov, Kyle Bjornson, Jenna Bjornson, Michael Flegel and Clarke Flegel. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, his friends, his hundreds of cousins, and his poker and football networks. Paul led a varied career that brought him from Winnipeg to Ottawa in 1971. He retired from CRA in 2007. Paul was a long time dedicated kinsmen who cherished the friends he made there. He was also an enthusiastic bowler in several leagues. The highlight of his bowling career was achieving a score of 299. He wore his commemorative ring with justifiable pride. The family extends their appreciation to Doctors Karas, Sabloff, Boate who helped Paul manage the challenges of lupus and CLL, and who supported him as he lived everyday to the fullest. The staff in the emergency and ICU at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital were exceptionally compassionate. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Paul's Life from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012, in the party room on the 12th floor at 1025 Grenon Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lupus Canada.
