OREST DANYLUK Born March 18, 1932, Canora, SK Passed November 25, 2012, Winnipeg, MB It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, uncle, husband, and friend. Orest modelled a life of hard work mixed with fun times. Orest and family moved to Winnipeg in 1959, where he began working at Ashdown Hardware. He then became a longtime and devoted employee of Federated Co-op. He also enjoyed a part time career as a bartender at the Winnipeg Canoe Club. Orest enjoyed puttering around the cottage, cross country skiing, dancing, and visiting relatives in Saskatchewan. Orest leaves behind his four children, Geoff (Svitlana), Calvin, Demetro (Susan), Deidre (Carter), and their mother Georgina. Orest also leaves three granddaughters, Stephanie, Laura (Cole) and Kiah, as well as many nieces and nephews; in particular Zenon, Terry, and Gloria. He was predeceased by his parents Metro and Mary, his 11 brothers and sisters, and Mae Streich. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB, with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. OREST DANYLUK Peacefully, on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Victoria Hospital, Orest Danyluk, aged 80 years of Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB. Full obituary to follow in Wednesday's paper.
