Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY STANKO (HINKEWICH) May 1, 1929 - December 1, 2012 On December 1, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, Mary Stanko passed away peacefully at the Selkirk General hospital. Mary is survived by her son, John Stanko; daughter, Janet Stanko; grandson, John (Bethany) Stanko, Curtis (Nicole) Stanko, and her great-grandchildren, Meghan, Julia, and Vaughn. Her sister Anne Manko; brothers, John (Dolly), Steve (Diane), and Harry (Betty) Hinkewich; sister-in-law, Mary, and several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her husband, John; father and mother, Metro and Hafia; brothers, Bill, Nick, Mike; sister, Kay; brother-in-law, Peter Manko and sister-in-law, Marion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Gilbart Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m. with viewing at 9:30 a.m. Thank you to the Selkirk and Pinawa General Hospitals for their compassionate care. A special thank you to Dr. Lindenschmidt and Dr. Pinetti. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Holy Trinity Church, Poplar Park, MB.
