IRENE POIRIER (nee MORIN) It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Irene at Actionmarguerite Taché Centre, St. Boniface. She worked there for many years, not knowing that one day she would become a resident. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1996, her brothers Adrien, Lionel, Antonin as well as several sisters and brothers-in-law. She leaves behind her children Paulette (Charlie) Scott, Jo-Anne Perrin of Prince George, Gerard (Beth) of Quesnel, and Robert (Kelly); her grandchildren Robyn (Daryl) Beauregard, Chad (Jill) Tuck, Joshua Poirier, Charlayne (Jared) Nordgren as well as six special great-grandchildren, Everett, Mackenzie, Logan, Luc, Eden and Madeleine; Irene leaves behind her sisters Jeanne Desrochers, Fabiola Desaulniers, Simone Desaulniers, Madeleine Lundrigan, Diane Laurin as well as her brothers Albert, Richard and Raymond. Irene was born to Joseph and Blanche Morin in Mariapolis, Manitoba. She raised her family in St. Boniface. Her greatest joy was to spend time with family. She was an awesome cook, an accomplished sewer of her children's clothing and a lover of dancing. A very special thank you to the staff at Actiomarguerite for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-129 Donald St. R3C 9Z9 A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 778 Archibald Street on Saturday, December 15 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. I was saddened to hear that your mother passed away. I got to know Paulette when Irene was at Despins. My mom was on the same floor. Paulette you were so wonderful to your mother!
